About the Role
Join a newly established Counter Fraud investigations team at an exciting stage of its development, with a unique opportunity to help shape how the function grows. As part of a specialist team, you will lead sensitive internal and external investigations while helping build a trusted, high-performing service that protects the organisation, residents, and assets.
You will lead investigations to a high professional standard, ensuring enquiries are proportionate, well-evidenced, and outcome focused. Your work will cover areas such as internal fraud, anti-money laundering, whistleblowing, and other complex Counter Fraud matters.
Key responsibilities include leading projects and operational activities to strengthen the organisation's Counter Fraud response, conducting desktop investigations using relevant technologies and tools, undertaking gap analysis, monitoring trends, and identifying emerging risks to inform prevention and continuous improvement.
You will use data matching, intelligence, and analytics to identify risks and support prevention activity. Providing subject matter expertise and practical advice to colleagues and stakeholders on Counter Fraud risks, controls, and investigation approaches will be essential.
Supporting the development of policies, procedures, and guidance, raising awareness of Counter Fraud risks, delivering training, and assisting with routine administrative tasks will also form part of your role.
As the team develops, you will support the manager in expanding the Counter Fraud investigations and prevention function to protect the organisation and residents. You will be expected to follow and stay updated with all relevant organisational and statutory policies and procedures, including health and safety and financial regulations.
