About the Role
Notting Hill Genesis is a not-for-profit organisation focused on providing quality homes at below-market rents for people who would otherwise struggle to afford them. We are both a landlord and a developer, with more than 60,000 existing homes and 8,000 more in our pipeline, reinvesting surpluses to support affordable housing across London.

As Development Project Accountant, you will lead the financial management and accounting of the Group's development projects, ensuring accurate and timely financial information. You will manage and develop the project finance team, maintain effective controls over invoice processing and project transactions, and ensure the integrity of the project ledger with correct cost allocation across projects, tenure, and legal entities.

You will oversee VAT accounting, ensuring correct analysis, recording, and prompt recovery of VAT amounts. Partnering with Project Managers, you will maintain and report on budgets, forecasts, and key financial arrangements. You will also oversee intercompany development transactions, ensuring timely billing and reconciliation, and work with Development Finance, Joint Ventures, and Development Delivery teams to ensure appropriate agreements are in place.

Monitoring project financial performance, you will provide insight and challenge on costs, forecasts, cash flows, risks, and emerging issues. You will maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations, supporting evidence, and audit trails to meet period and year-end requirements accurately and on time.

As a key point of contact for development accounting matters, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and advisers to resolve queries promptly. You will drive continuous improvement in development finance processes, controls, systems, and reporting, making effective use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) and data analysis.

Joining Notting Hill Genesis offers opportunities for growth and access to a wide range of learning opportunities to help you achieve your potential. Benefits include excellent annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities, generous pension scheme, enhanced parental pay, employee assistance programs, health cash plan, staff discounts, interest-free loans, cycle to work scheme, and life assurance at four times annual salary.
