About the Role
IFR is seeking a Credit Market Reporter on a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover breaking news and major themes across the fixed income market. This role involves delivering valuable and insightful content for clients on IFR's website, magazine, and LSEG Workspace platforms. This position is a paternity leave cover. The successful candidate will primarily cover the EMEA region, working independently to develop sources and relationships while collaborating across teams within the wider editorial group on cross-asset and cross-border stories. Responsibilities include writing and editing high-quality content for IFR Magazine and LSEG’s Workspace platform, delivering timely and insightful coverage of fixed-income markets with clarity and impact, breaking news and providing real-time updates on deals, pricing, and market trends. The role also involves working alongside a team of credit market reporters in a supportive and inclusive environment and collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure consistent, engaging coverage across various LSEG publications and platforms.

Requirements

Experience
A strong editorial background with experience in financial journalism is essential. The ideal candidate is a proactive storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven ability to engage with senior bankers, investors, and other bond market participants.

You are a motivated journalist with strong interpersonal and communication skills. You work well independently and collaboratively, valuing teamwork and knowledge-sharing. You have a commitment to accuracy, integrity, and thoughtful analysis, and are comfortable developing sources and relationships across the EMEA fixed income market.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in journalism or finance are desirable but not explicitly stated. A demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality financial content and break news in real time is critical.
