About the Role
Join the Risk Intelligence division at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), a key team dedicated to providing critical insights and solutions that help clients manage and mitigate risk. As a Principal - Cloud Data Architect within the Digital Identity & Fraud Engineering team, you will take technical ownership of our products, ensuring the use of appropriate technologies and driving initiatives that deliver customer value and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with enterprise teams to align technical choices with overall product architecture and mentor team members to build capabilities that support delivery excellence.

Your responsibilities will include designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective data architectures, leading the adoption and integration of AWS and Azure cloud services, and working with data engineers to prepare data for advanced analytics. You will assess and advocate for data management technologies and practices, close gaps between current and future states, and formulate strategic plans to improve data integration, quality, and delivery. Additionally, you will articulate architectural trade-offs, motivate and develop staff, collaborate with customers and development teams, and drive innovation through thought leadership on emerging trends.

Experience
12+ years of proven experience implementing a variety of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies.
Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage, and relational modeling using SQL and Python.
Demonstrated expertise in modern data architectures and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
Experience with real-time data distribution technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow), NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, CosmosDB), GraphQL, and modern data warehouse tools including Snowflake and DataBricks.
Ability to think strategically and align architectural decisions with customer needs.
Familiarity with data governance methodologies including MDM, security, privacy, and policy frameworks.
