About the Role
Join the Risk Intelligence division at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), a key team dedicated to providing critical insights and solutions that help clients manage and mitigate risk. As a Principal Cloud Data Architect within the Digital Identity & Fraud Engineering team, you will lead the technical direction of our products, ensuring the use of appropriate technologies to drive customer value and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with enterprise teams to align technical choices with overall product architecture and mentor team members to build strong capabilities. This role involves designing secure, scalable, and cost-effective data architectures, leading the adoption of AWS and Azure services, and working with data engineers to prepare data for advanced modeling. You will also assess data management technologies, formulate strategic plans to improve data integration and quality, and drive innovative technology solutions through thought leadership. Your work will have a global impact, supporting business initiatives and enhancing the value of client data across the organisation.

Experience
12+ years of proven experience implementing a variety of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies. Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage, and relational modeling using SQL and Python. Demonstrated expertise in modern data architectures and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. Experience with real-time data distribution technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, CosmosDB), GraphQL, and modern data warehouse tools including Snowflake and DataBricks. Ability to assess and recommend data governance methodologies including MDM, security, privacy, and policies.

Qualifications
Relevant advanced qualifications or certifications in data architecture, cloud technologies, or related fields are desirable but not mandatory. A strong track record of continuous learning and professional development is expected.
