This role: As Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing look to improve the customer experience with technology, this role will be tasked with ensuring that key information security issues are considered and deploy and deliver cyber security activities across MTVH, provide expertise to regarding security best practice on projects and products which MTVH have in service and are looking to bring into service at the direction of the Information Security manager. Cybersecurity Officer to join Information Security team, the role will deliver and deploy cyber security activities at the direction of the information security manager, to ensure the safety of MTVH Information Technology (IT) security, monitoring systems and evaluating threats as they arise. Updating policies and procedures The role will deliver and deploy cyber security activities, also review and provide security guidance on projects and products MTVH have in service and looking to bring into service, at the direction of the information security manager. The role will be within the information security team, Implementing and monitoring Risk management programme for security to protect information assets. What you'll need to succeed: Ability to maintain records of process completion Analytical and problem-solving skills Can use own initiative Interpersonal skills, able to build and sustain working relationships with key stakeholders and to transfer knowledge. A strong commitment to customer service and overall service excellence A willingness to learn and develop a broad skillset as may be required. A thorough and organised approach Ability to work to multiple competing priorities Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations Ability to work with a range of internal and external people Good for role: Experience / Knowledge: Awareness of cyber security and information management principals Awareness of Information Security policies in order to produce or amend security Policies and procedure according to requirements. Ability to operate multiple IT systems concurrently Maintain productive, professional and secure working environment Understanding of data management principals Understanding of IT Network management principals Advanced MS office skills – specifically MS excel Awareness of data protection principals and the GDPR.
