We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join the Development finance team on a permanent basis. A bit about the role: You’ll be working alongside Finance Managers and Finance Partners in Development Finance and be part of the team responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of accounting records in the department. Some of the key features of the role include: Responsible for key development financial accounting records monthly and at year end. Reviewing and correcting the accounts of the different development companies on a regular basis. Provide regular supervision to junior members of the team. Prepare development companies forecasts on a regular basis. Timely preparation of audit working papers for the year end audit, including agreeing format of working papers and other audit requirements. What you'll need: Experience of Financial year process. Experience of reviewing and analysis of work submitted by junior members of the team. Experience of process improvement. Development Finance experience ideal but no essential. Experience preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations & performing analytical reviews. Advanced Excel. Knowledge of accounting software (Sun Systems desired) and other core finance systems would be ideal. CCAB accountancy or other qualification is desired but not essential if significant experience can be demonstrated. A can do attitude. For more information please download the role profile.
