About the Role
This role is based within one of Mace Construct Limited’s largest Business Units, Public, Science & Technology. As the BIM Manager on a major datacentre project in West London, you will lead the delivery of the information management function for the project team. Your responsibilities will include supporting clients and project teams in developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, managing processes within a common data environment (CDE), and advising on the implementation of ISO 19650 series standards.
You will support delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle, communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, delegate tasks efficiently, and develop the BIM Execution Plan (BEP). You will ensure security protocols are followed for viewing and issuing information, implement governance and assurance processes, and monitor digital handover to project completion.
Additional responsibilities include producing information requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR, EIR) as per ISO 19650, developing information standards and shared resources, managing object library development aligned with the wider BIM strategy, and assuring the quality of the information model. You will also review current technology solutions, research emerging technologies, support construction sequencing strategies, and assist the cost team in preparing cost plans from information models.
Providing training on BIM-related topics such as database use, data analysis, template creation, assurance, and COBie production will be key. You will work closely with project managers and design teams to ensure compliance with Mace processes and the Mace Way, and run BIM knowledge sharing sessions to upskill client teams and colleagues.
This role requires a proactive approach to staying up to date with BIM developments and industry standards, including ISO 19650, BS1192, IFC, COBie, and classification systems.
