About the Role
As a Digital Forensics Senior Associate within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls line of business at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a critical role in protecting the firm's digital assets. Utilizing your advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, you will collect, preserve, and analyse digital evidence to support internal investigations and cybersecurity matters. You will work across multiple lines of business to manage complex cybersecurity incidents by identifying gaps and making strategic recommendations to reduce risk.

Your expertise in digital forensics, cybersecurity operations, and threat intelligence will be vital to maintaining a secure digital environment. You will stay ahead of emerging technologies by engaging in forensic research and development projects, innovating forensic techniques, and improving processes across teams.

Key responsibilities include utilising digital forensic tools to conduct detailed breach analyses, providing root cause and impact assessments, preparing comprehensive investigation reports, and assisting in the development of in-house training programs. You will collaborate closely with Legal, Technology, and HR teams to support incident response and regulatory proceedings. Additionally, you will assess JPMorgan Chase's digital forensics risk and control environment to identify control gaps and contribute to remediation plans.

Requirements

Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in digital forensics, cybersecurity operations, or a similar role with a focus on digital forensics, incident response, and malware analysis.
Proficiency with forensic tools such as X-Ways, Volexity Surge, EnCase, Volatility, and Wireshark.
Demonstrated ability to analyse digital artifacts, network traffic, and logs to identify malicious activity or user behaviour.
Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, JavaScript, or PowerShell for automation and data analysis.
Understanding of forensic tool outputs and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
Expertise in computer forensic best practices and industry-standard methodologies.
Developing knowledge of e-discovery processes, incident response, and threat intelligence.
Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platform data acquisition and analysis (AWS, Azure, GCP), memory forensics, malware reverse engineering, and relevant certifications such as GCFA, GNFA, or GCIH.
Ability to automate forensic tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash/ZSH, and PowerShell is highly desirable.
