About the Role
Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to our vibrant and culturally diverse communities. Lewisham is proud to be the UK’s first Borough of Sanctuary, championing the rights of refugees and migrants.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will provide sessions that support babies’ and children’s development, encourage parent-child attachment, focus on outdoor learning, and help build a strong foundation for life’s challenges from the youngest years.
You will deliver EYFS-focused group sessions for babies, children, and their families in Family Hubs and other delivery sites as directed by your line manager, including some online sessions as required. You will also lead the facilitation of evidence-based interventions on a 1:1 and group basis across Family Hubs and spoke sites.
We offer excellent training and development opportunities, along with a range of benefits including generous holiday allowance, Local Government Pension scheme, flexible working and family-friendly policies, season ticket and bicycle loans, staff discounts including local subsidised gym memberships, and supportive staff networks.
Experience
Recent significant experience working with babies or young children is desirable. Experience in delivering sessions aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage is essential.
About you
You will be passionate about working with families and children to reduce escalation of need by accessing early intervention services within the community. You will use your own initiative to deliver sessions and adapt delivery to meet the needs of diverse communities.
