As an Associate within the CEEMEA Loan Origination team, you will play a central role in the end-to-end origination, structuring, execution, and syndication of loan capital market transactions across a broad range of geographies and industries. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Global Corporate Banking, Trading, Leveraged Finance, Syndicate, Structuring, Investment Banking Coverage, and Infrastructure Finance, building deep cross-functional expertise and strong internal relationships. Your contributions will directly shape client outcomes and support the growth of J.P. Morgan's leading CEEMEA loans franchise from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day transaction execution, including preparation of materials for internal approvals, client presentations, and external marketing across loan capital market transactions.
- Coordinate internal approvals, administrative processes, and organisational aspects of transactions, maintaining close liaison with stakeholders across the bank.
- Collate, analyse, and interpret financial and market data to formulate and implement well-reasoned recommendations for clients and internal teams.
- Assist in idea generation, marketing story creation, and preparation of pitch materials tailored to sovereign, corporate, and FIG clients across CEEMEA.
- Support market pricing formulation alongside syndicate teams, drawing on analysed market data to inform recommendations.
- Actively participate in internal and client meetings and calls, contributing meaningfully and representing the team professionally.
- Conduct due diligence and research in collaboration with credit and industry teams to support transaction underwriting and execution.
- Contribute to loan documentation review and negotiation, coordinating liaison with internal and external legal counsel throughout the transaction process.
Experience
- Proven experience in investment banking, with strong understanding of investment banking products, particularly loan capital markets.
- Demonstrated experience engaging professionally with clients and transactional advisers.
- Experience with loan documentation review and negotiation, including familiarity with LMA standard documentation is preferred.
- Prior experience within Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, and/or Investment Banking, with interest or experience in emerging markets is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CEEMEA markets, including knowledge of key geographies, client types, and market dynamics across CEE, CIS, Turkey, the Middle East, and Africa.
- Knowledge of market data and deal tracking platforms such as Dealogic and Bloomberg is a plus.

Qualifications
- Strong academic credentials from a leading university in Finance, Economics, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence and, where appropriate, approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
