About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Employer Engagement Officer to join our team. In this role, you will engage with employers to secure work placements and paid jobs for young learners with learning disabilities and/or Autism in the Kingston Upon Thames area. You will take the lead in employer engagement for the Kingston team, building and developing strong working relationships with employers across various industries and sectors. Your goal will be to negotiate and secure work opportunities for our supported interns, who are assisted in the workplace by a Skills Coach. You will oversee placements to ensure progress towards independence and eventual paid employment. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the people we support.

Experience
- Background in sales, employer engagement, or recruitment is desirable.
- Experience in employer engagement and marketing is ideal as creating work opportunities is a key aspect of the role.

About you
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with learners, employers, teaching professionals, and parents/carers.
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records using IT-based systems.

Qualifications
All candidates offered an interview will need to provide evidence of A-C GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at interview stage.
