About the Role
Barnet Mencap has been supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic adults in the London Borough of Barnet for over 50 years. We provide supported accommodation, leisure and learning activities, information, advice, and guidance, all while being committed to equal opportunities and safeguarding children and adults.
This role is part of our well-established and successful Autism Service. We are seeking a focused individual to join our caring, passionate, and diverse team as an Access to Work Aide providing Autism and ADHD support.
This position offers both challenge and satisfaction and is ideal for someone with knowledge and awareness of autism-related issues, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check in line with safeguarding policies.
Experience
- Knowledge and awareness of issues relating to autism
- Experience working with autistic adults or individuals with ADHD is desirable
