What we’re looking for: Do you have knowledge or experience of risk assessment and risk management that are required when working with a vulnerable group? Can you write risk assessment reports? Are you aware of the risks associated with people who are diagnosed with mental health issues or a dual diagnosis? Do you have experience of and an up to date working knowledge of welfare benefits and reform along with the ability to assist others as and when needed? Do you have experience of partnership working both internally and externally such as statutory agencies (Community Mental health Team), GP's or Care Co-ordinators? Do you understand and have knowledge of Health and Safety in a housing context, with the ability to promote a positive health and safety culture? Would you be willing to achieve a formal qualification relevant to the vulnerable people we support, such as a Level 2 in Health and Social Care or even a higher level qualification? If so, this role is perfect for you! Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Enhanced Housing Management Officer on a Permanent basis around the Hackney area. A bit about the role: As a Enhanced Housing Management Officer, you will provide an enabling enhanced housing service to a designated group of tenants (up to 35 properties), to maximise their independence and ensure the sustainment of their tenancies, whilst responding flexibly to the varying needs of a mental health group. Some of the key results for the role include: To ensure that the Tenants/Licensees are aware and understand the responsibilities of their tenancy/license and to support them to sustain this. Welcome new Tenants/Licensees to services and introduce them to the services and facilities, and all the relevant housing rules and regulations relating to their tenancy/license and enable them to sustain this. Carry out regular Health and Safety and building checks including fire safety checks and flat checks in conjunction with Tenants/Licensees and ensure any follow up actions such as repair reports are complete. To be aware of the risk factor's including warning signs, triggers and crisis plans and to follow the Risk Assessment/Management and SOVA procedures. To liaise with support agencies including Care Coordinators and GP's if there are any concerns.
