Description
Your typical day could start with a welfare visit to one of your team to hear any concerns around local issues on their estate. Then you might be carrying out an inspection of the site as part of your monthly estate Inspection programme, before heading across to meet a contractor on a nearby site to assess an ongoing communal repair. As an Estate Services Area Manager you’ll be the ‘face of Peabody’ and no one day is the same. You’ll be at the heart of your Peabody community, playing a crucial role supporting the practical needs and wellbeing of your team and ensuring their working environment is safe for colleagues and residents. With a particular focus on helping improve the communal areas of the sites for residents and visitors, you’ll actively work with colleagues and residents in the management of their neighbourhoods, developing and improving Peabody’s service to them and ensuring we take full account of residents’ views. You’re a people person who likes to get things done. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and you’re first rate at building meaningful relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to issues. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be in the office daily. Your role covers all aspects of estate services – everything from line management of Caretakers & Gardeners, property inspections to identifying issues and capturing feedback to continuously improve our services and customer satisfaction. To be a success in this role, you’re: Experienced in management within Estate Services or a similar field. Knowledgeable of H&S legislation, and experienced in completing risk assessments, accident reports etc. Understanding of the challenges in providing a broad range of effective estate services in a mixed tenure housing environment, across a wide geographical area.
