About the Role
The Financial Times (FT) is a globally recognised news organisation known for its authority, integrity and accuracy. FT Live, the conferences and events division of the FT, delivers over 200 events annually, including in-person, digital and hybrid formats. These events bring together senior public- and private-sector leaders for agenda-setting discussions on global economic and industry issues.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Event Operations Executive to support the delivery of FT Live's diverse portfolio. You will work closely with Event Managers and wider teams to assist with event planning, digital production, audiovisual support and operational delivery. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract ending February 2027.
Key responsibilities include supporting event delivery, liaising with speakers, sponsors and clients, managing digital event spaces, coordinating event materials, providing audiovisual and video production support, resolving operational issues proactively, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless attendee experience.
Experience
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence in engaging with senior speakers, clients, sponsors and colleagues. Good numerical skills and experience working with event data or budgets. Proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. Ability to learn new systems and technical skills quickly. Experience supporting conferences, corporate events, webinars or digital productions is desirable. Familiarity with virtual event platforms, content management systems or event registration tools is advantageous. Basic audiovisual or video editing experience is a plus.

Qualifications
A degree or equivalent experience in Event Management, International Event Management or a related field is desirable but not essential.
