About the Role
Vitabiotics is a pioneering leader in nutritional healthcare products, exporting to over 100 countries and recognised for innovation with multiple Queen’s Awards. As an Export Shipping Executive on a 6-month fixed term contract, you will manage the end-to-end operational process of international export orders. This includes coordinating ocean export shipments (groupage/LCL and FCL), arranging bookings and transport, preparing and verifying export documentation, and ensuring compliance with customs and destination requirements. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain shipment accuracy, track progress, resolve operational issues, and support freight cost control. This role demands proactive communication with customers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods. You will also contribute to process improvements and support team cross-cover as needed. Immediate start.
Experience
- Experience within a freight forwarding environment with strong hands-on ocean/sea/air freight export expertise.
- Proven management of groupage/LCL and FCL export shipments from start to finish, including bookings, collections, carrier/forwarder coordination, documentation, and shipment tracking.
- Practical experience preparing and checking export shipping documentation and working with UK export customs procedures and freight/customs brokers.
- Working knowledge of Bills of Lading, shipping instructions, Incoterms, port/vessel cut-offs, and operational requirements of shipping lines, co-loaders, and hauliers.
- Ability to manage multiple international shipments and customer accounts simultaneously while meeting documentation and dispatch deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills with confidence in communicating with customers, overseas agents, and service providers to resolve shipment issues.

Qualifications
- Desirable qualifications include BIFA, CILT, customs/trade compliance or other relevant logistics certifications but not essential.
- Experience on the exporter/manufacturer side within FMCG, food supplements, healthcare, pharmaceutical, cosmetics or other regulated consumer-goods sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of shipping to the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, including destination-specific documentation and legalisation requirements.
- Understanding of country-of-origin, preferential-origin, and Rules of Origin concepts including Certificates of Origin.
- Experience with Letters of Credit, documentary collections, or bank-controlled shipping documentation is beneficial.
- Familiarity with SAP/S/4HANA or comparable ERP systems and freight forwarding systems such as CargoWise is advantageous.
