We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our quality control team. You will lead technical and product development activities across the business, including product transfers, new packaging development, formulation of new products, and contributing to new product development (NPD). Your role will ensure products are developed, transferred, and launched successfully while meeting quality, regulatory, cost, and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing and developing a team, leading product transfer and scale-up activities, supporting new product development from concept to launch, developing and optimising formulations, leading packaging design and development, managing multiple technical projects, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards. You will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while driving robust, commercially viable solutions.
Experience
- Significant experience in product development, formulation, and technical project management.
- Proven experience leading product transfer and scale-up activities.
- Demonstrated people management experience.
- Experience managing packaging development projects.
- Strong understanding of quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline (essential).
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific discipline (desirable).
- Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, APMP or equivalent (desirable).
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, healthcare, chemical, or related industries (desirable).
