About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and technically focused Quality Operations Manager to join our team immediately. In this role, you will ensure that quality standards, processes, and systems are effectively implemented and maintained across all operations, from raw materials and manufacturing through to finished products.

You will work closely with technical, regulatory, manufacturing, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure products consistently meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical and operational experience within a regulated environment, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities include managing the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with EU and UK regulations, food supplement and cosmetic regulations, and relevant ISO standards. You will oversee compliance and quality assurance activities, lead investigations and CAPA management, manage change control and risk assessments, and coordinate audit and inspection processes. Additionally, you will support supplier quality management, maintain training programs, and foster a proactive quality culture. Leadership responsibilities include managing and developing the Quality team, setting objectives, and supporting succession planning.

Experience
- Extensive experience in a pharmaceutical quality role within a GMP-regulated environment
- Experience managing quality systems and leading internal and external audits
- Experience managing or supervising quality personnel
- Knowledge of Quality Risk Management methodologies

Desirable Experience
- Experience in the food supplement and/or nutraceutical industry
- Experience with cosmetic product quality systems and regulatory compliance
- Lead Auditor qualification
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 22000, or similar standards
- Experience supporting MHRA inspections
- Experience using electronic Quality Management Systems (eQMS)

Qualifications
Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related scientific discipline
