What we’re looking for:
Do you have any previous experience in the housing support sector and a good knowledge of statutory and community services?
Are you experienced in providing support as a senior support worker or as a team manager to people who have experienced trauma and have complex and challenging support needs?
Do you have some experience of managing and motivating a team to deliver a high-quality support service?
Do you have experience of assessment and management of individual needs and risks?
Are you able to communicate respectfully with and about people respecting the dignity and diversity of the people you are working with?
Do you have any experience of working jointly with other agencies and liaising with statutory organisations?
Do you have a genuine desire to help the designated client group connect with their community, demonstrating kindness, empathy, a positive attitude, energy, and enthusiasm?
Do you have comprehensive IT skills to include use of Microsoft office and have the ability to maintain electronic records, with attention to detail.

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Female Team Manager (Female Supported Housing) on a secondment or fixed term contract (12 months) basis for our Female Supported Housing Service based in Islington, London.
A bit about the role:
This service works with women only who are at risk of homelessness and supports them to gain secure accommodation.
As a Female Team Manager (Female Supported Housing), you will have the responsibility of ensuring that we provide high quality accommodation and housing related support for vulnerable women ensuring their personal wellbeing, development and safety.
The Female Team Manager (Female Supported Housing) will work with Commissioners and partners to ensure we accommodate and support individuals who have been referred to our service.
The Female Team Manager (Female Supported Housing) and that of your team will be to provide specialist and psychologically-informed support, working in partnership with external agencies to enable young females to reach their goals and aspirations and move on to independent living.
Some of the key results for the role include:
Providing proactive and effective leadership for support workers, by modelling good practice, advising on, and intervening in, complex and/or high-risk cases as required.
Maintaining accurate records to evidence key performance targets and other reporting requirements.
Developing and maintaining good links with local statutory and voluntary agencies to enable service users to access appropriate services and support.
Ensuring support workers provide personalised, structured and flexible support to clients to enable individuals to improve/maintain their independence.
Effectively managing any risk to service users, employees and the community.
Providing a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for females
Working collaboratively with partners, to ensure the service provides an all-round Holistic service for customers.
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check.
The hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 9Am to 5PM. However, the Team Manager will be expected to participate in the 'On Call' out of hours rota so some unsociable hours working will be expected.
