About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Finance Assistant to join the pre-opening team of Delano London, reporting directly to the Director of Finance. You will support the hotel's financial operations by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of all revenue, receivables, and payables in accordance with Delano policies, brand standards, and regulatory requirements. This role covers Income Audit, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions, playing a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting efficient financial reporting.

Delano London, set to open in 2026, will blend historic charm with contemporary luxury across its 67-key property. The hotel will offer a distinctive lifestyle destination with soft minimalist design, generous living spaces, and park views, where design, dining, nightlife, and wellbeing seamlessly converge.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Income Audit: Control petty cash and hotel paid outs, audit and reconcile daily revenue from all hotel outlets (Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness, verify and post revenue journals and income summaries into the general ledger, ensure proper authorization and settlement of credit card transactions, reconcile cash and bank deposits, coordinate billing discrepancy resolutions, assist in financial reporting and audits, maintain confidentiality, and support month-end closing processes.

Accounts Receivable: Assist in establishing customer credit, manage credit applications and direct bill listings, generate and distribute invoices and statements, respond to billing inquiries, communicate disputes for resolution, maintain collection processes, track bad debt write-offs, monitor guest and city ledgers, support training on credit procedures, prepare financial reports related to receivables, assist in audits, and support balance sheet reconciliations.

Accounts Payable: Post and report accounts payables accurately and timely, maintain controlled expenditure procedures, ensure timely supplier payments, manage vendor communications and correspondence, match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents, monitor compliance with approval levels and expense policies, maintain purchase order systems, prepare month-end accruals with supporting documentation, and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in finance or accounting roles within the hospitality industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with property management systems such as Opera and Micros, and financial software like SunSystems, Oracle, or similar is essential. Solid understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, reconciliation procedures, and audit practices is required.

Effective communicator both verbally and in writing, able to provide clear direction internally and externally. Calm and alert under pressure, capable of making sound decisions based on experience and judgment. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Able to maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data at all times.

Qualifications
Working knowledge of applicable financial regulations, hotel compliance standards, and audit practices. Proficiency in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, income audit, and month-end closing processes. Experience with credit management and vendor relations. A proactive approach to supporting team members and contributing to smooth financial operations.
