About the Role
Delano London is seeking an exceptional Storeman to join its pre-opening team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing goods and supplies across the hotel’s departments with a focus on accuracy, organization, and compliance with internal controls and safety standards. This role is key to ensuring all hotel outlets receive necessary materials timely and efficiently. You will maintain proper inventory levels, ensure safe and secure storage of goods, and verify that deliveries meet the hotel’s specifications and quality standards.

Delano London, opening in 2026, will blend historic charm with contemporary luxury, offering a distinctive lifestyle destination with design, dining, nightlife, and wellbeing seamlessly converging. As Storeman, your duties will include receiving deliveries, verifying orders, inspecting goods for quality and condition, storing items according to FIFO and food safety standards, maintaining storeroom cleanliness and organization, logging inventory accurately, issuing items to departments, monitoring stock levels, coordinating with suppliers and departments, and adhering to all hotel procedures related to inventory control and safety.

You will also be responsible for operating material handling equipment safely, assisting with inventory counts and reconciliations, and reporting any discrepancies or issues promptly to the Assistant/Director of Finance. Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in receiving, storeroom, or warehouse operations, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.

Ability to accurately count, record, and reconcile inventory.
Observant and able to respond quickly to discrepancies or supply issues.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Understanding of safety and sanitation standards related to food and supply storage.
Familiarity with hotel department supply needs.
Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
Adherence to manual handling policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Basic knowledge of inventory systems and procurement software (e.g., BirchStreet, Adaco) preferred.
Understanding of internal control practices and inventory documentation procedures.
Commitment to maintaining audit and internal control requirements.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to a new hotel opening.
