Are you an AAT qualified, degree level qualification, or similar experience working towards an accounting qualification?
Do you enjoy working with large volumes of data and turning this into meaningful information?
Are you someone who uses initiative and is proactive in meeting the needs of your customer including opportunities to help improve processes?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant – Property Services to join us on a fixed term contract basis.
A bit about the role:
As a Finance Assistant – Placemaking and Regeneration, you will assist with the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and KPIs, including insightful commentary to agreed timeframes. Assist in the month end and year end process, ensuring that costs are allocated to the appropriate level so that reporting is relevant and accurate. Where costs are not allocated correctly follow up, understand the issue, and identify a suitable solution which could be training the budget holder. You will continuously review and seek to improve systems and processes to maximise efficiency and keep things as simple and easy for users as possible and always maintaining a positive approach to change. You will be able to see where your inputs fit into the bigger picture and the full I&E and BS outputs. You will adaptable to business changes and assist in onboarding teams under the Placemaking and Regeneration banner from existing teams in the group. You will be confident in communicating and working across a large matrix organisation to obtain information and collaborate.
Some of the key results for the role include:
Support the Senior Finance Manager, Finance Analysts and Finance business Partner with the annual budget process, inputting into our forecasting system InforBI and reconciling data.
Support budget holders to understand their management accounts coding and costs centre and provide training as required including assisting with system changes. Maintaining those system to meet the needs of the budget holder and finance.
Collaborating with finance colleagues to improve finance processes.
IPOS – Purchase to Pay software user reporting, system maintenance, uploading of annual budgets in SUN systems and end user assistance.
Provide a user-friendly, customer-focused and reliable service at all times, creating strong working relationships with internal and external customers and consistently demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude. Communicating in a professional manner and seeking assistance when you require it.
This role will require a minimum of 1 day working in the Westminster Bridge Road office. With 1 day in a local office in Thamesmead or Charlton.
