The vacancy Your typical day could start with using your skills and experience to provide the highest standard of management information, reporting, providing support to budget holders and stakeholders in regards to internal processes and the most efficient ways to carry out a project. Then you might be providing a business partnering service to facilitate fantastic financial management, before working on annual budgets, rolling forecasts and financial plans. As a Finance Business Partner you'll be the 'face of Peabody' and no one day is the same. You'll be committed to delivering excellent customer experience, embodying our values every day in the way you deal with your customers. With a particular focus on taking ownership of budget holder problems and seeking to resolve these, you'll also actively ensure that reports help senior budget holders to understand the key issues, risks and opportunities facing them enabling them to take appropriate action. The team have taken on new operational areas to business partner and a large part of the role presently is transitioning those teams processes and aligning for consistency, reviewing for resource and monetary efficiency and making process improvements. You're a people person who likes to get things done. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and you're first rate at building meaningful relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to issues. You'll need to be in the office for 1-2 days per week and the remaining time you'll be able to work remotely. Your role covers all aspects of Finance Business Partnering- everything from being passionate about getting it right and producing excellent reports that focus on the important things, to collaborating and influencing across the business and the Finance Department. If you're creative in your problem-solving, be able to switch hats to supporting teams who do very varying roles, energised by supporting your customers and, like us, committed to helping people flourish, we want to hear from you. To be successful in this role, you're: Experienced working in management accounting / business reporting role(s), where you've taken the lead on management accounts production, reporting, budget setting and forecasting. Experienced in process improvement, not only financial but as a facilitator to your budget holders joining teams across the business on projects for the best outcome. Personable and able to relate to non-financial business parts/budget holders. Skilled in Excel as you'll be using it comprehensively for reporting and analysis and also experience working with large volumes of data and transforming this into valuable information. Able to think outside the box to find creative and alternative solutions, a problem solver. Knowledgeable in accounting software (Sun Systems desired) and other core finance systems. CCAB accountancy or equivalent with post qualification experience and commitment to continued professional development.
