About the Role
Croydon Council is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate Fostering Recruitment Officer to help us find exceptional foster carers who can provide safe, nurturing and loving homes for Croydon’s children. Our Fostering Service is fast-paced and exciting as we continue to improve support for Foster Carers.

You will be central to our recruitment efforts, engaging with prospective foster carers from their initial enquiry via phone, email and in person, through to organising and attending community events. You will develop relationships with local organisations and Fostering Champions, work creatively with colleagues to promote fostering across Croydon by facilitating events, providing information and maintaining accurate case records. You will also support applicants throughout the assessment journey.

Some evening and weekend work is required, and the role involves local travel and transporting event materials and equipment.

Experience
Understanding of fostering is desirable, although full training will be provided.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications required; training will be provided. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults is essential. The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check if required by the role.
