About the Role
Join Ferrovial: Where Innovation Meets Opportunity. Are you ready to elevate your career with a global leader in infrastructure solving complex problems and generating positive outcomes for people’s lives? At Ferrovial, we are not just a company; we are a community of innovators and trailblazers. Listed on Nasdaq (US), Euronext Amsterdam (Netherlands), and IBEX 35 (Spain), and members of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and FTSE4Good, we operate in more than 15 countries with over 24,000 professionals worldwide across Highways, Airports, Construction, and Energy.

Ferrovial Construction UK&I is the UK-based engineering and construction arm of the Ferrovial Group, the largest private transport infrastructure operator globally by capital invested. With over 60 years’ experience and presence in 15 countries, we design and construct some of the UK and Ireland’s most high-profile transport infrastructure projects. We deliver complex major projects in-house, drawing on international expertise and full asset lifecycle capability.

We are committed to sustainable and innovative solutions that create value for society, clients, investors, and employees. Our core values are Excellence, Innovation, Collaboration, Integrity, and Respect. Working on large complex projects, you will be encouraged to achieve your maximum potential with support and guidance. Effective communication and teamwork are critical to our success.

The role involves joining the HS2 Track infrastructure project during its initial design phase as a Slab Track – Graduate Civil Structural Engineer. You will support coordination and integration of interfaces between civil structures (viaducts, bridges, tunnels, earthworks) and the Standard Slab Track system. Working closely with the Civils Design Integration Lead and wider design teams, you will ensure interfaces are understood, coordinated, and appropriately detailed.

The Ferrovial 2-year graduate development programme offers a blended approach to develop personal, professional, and technical skills. You will work under supervision of Section/Project Managers and collaborate with site teams.

Key responsibilities include liaising with designers to ensure timely and optimised design delivery, attending weekly meetings with construction and design teams, supporting optimisation studies, providing technical input for commercial communications, supporting technical assurance throughout design, construction and handover stages, and promoting health, safety, and environmental compliance.

This role offers exposure to diverse engineering disciplines, opportunities for global mobility, and support towards professional chartership. You will gain experience working with contractors and sub-contractors, participate in blended training, and contribute to innovation and charity projects.

Seize the challenge. Move the world together with Ferrovial.
