About the Role
As a senior member of the Financial Reporting and Control team, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of financial reporting across Notting Hill Genesis. You will lead the preparation of Group and subsidiary statutory accounts, coordinate interim and year-end audits, and ensure regulatory returns are delivered accurately and on time. Working closely with the Head of Financial Accounting and Control, you will provide expert technical accounting support, deputise when required, and deliver clear, insightful financial analysis to senior leaders to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of statutory accounts for the Group and subsidiaries
- Coordinate quarterly, interim and year-end audits, managing the audit timetable with Finance Managers, Heads of Service and auditors
- Ensure regulatory returns and filings are accurate and submitted on time
- Lead monthly intercompany reconciliations
- Conduct quarterly analytical reviews of financial performance
- Support reporting to senior management and committees
- Maintain technical accounting knowledge and monitor housing sector developments
- Strengthen financial reporting, internal controls and audit-issue resolution
- Build strong relationships with Finance colleagues, auditors and stakeholders
- Lead, manage and mentor team members
Experience
- CCAB-qualified accountant with ongoing CPD
- Extensive experience preparing statutory accounts end-to-end, ideally at Group level within social housing
- Significant experience leading interim and year-end audits and coordinating external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and awareness of regulatory and sector developments
- Experience with regulatory financial returns and filings
- Strong knowledge of financial controls and control frameworks
- Proven leadership and team development experience

Qualifications & Skills
- CCAB-qualified accountant
- Strong Excel skills; experience with Sun Systems, Dynamics 365 and Power BI is advantageous
