About the Role
As a Risk and Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening Notting Hill Genesis' risk management and assurance arrangements. Working within the Enterprise Risk Management Team, you will provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to ensure risks, controls, and governance processes are effectively managed across the organisation.
You will work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders to support risk identification, maintain risk registers, undertake assurance reviews, monitor internal audit actions, and provide insightful reporting that enables informed decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include supporting business areas in identifying, assessing, and managing risks in line with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework; providing guidance and challenge to managers on risk assessments, controls, and mitigation plans; maintaining and reviewing risk registers; undertaking assurance reviews and control testing; maintaining the organisation's Assurance Map and supporting the three lines of defence model; monitoring and validating internal and external audit actions; preparing risk and assurance reports for senior leadership and governance committees; analysing risk trends and emerging risks; and supporting governance forums including Audit and Risk Committee reporting.

Experience
- Supporting risk management, risk assessments, and risk reporting
- Knowledge of internal controls, assurance frameworks, and governance practices
- Undertaking assurance reviews, control testing, or audit-related activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence positive outcomes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and risk management systems

Qualifications
- Desirable qualifications include Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or equivalent, Institute of Risk Management (IRM) qualifications
- Knowledge of ISO 31000, COSO ERM, or similar risk management frameworks
