About the Role
Join the Estate Caretaking Service Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) and play a key role in delivering a responsive, customer-focused service for our residents. As a Handyperson, you will assist in maintaining a high standard of minor repairs in communal areas, within blocks, and across estates. Your work will include pre-planned projects such as painting, decorating, grounds work, and general scheme improvements. You will liaise directly with L&Q staff, residents, and contractors while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and security. You will also be responsible for the care and use of the vehicle, tools, and equipment provided to you. This role requires a mobile individual with a full manual UK driving licence.

Additional Information

Experience
Trade skills, DIY, or gardening experience is essential. Experience in carrying out a variety of communal repair jobs and identifying health and safety risks is required.
About you
You must be a good communicator, confident working remotely as part of a team, and able to arrange work schedules and plan implementation effectively. Self-motivation, proactivity, and strong organisational skills are essential. You should be committed to providing excellent customer service and able to work safely at all times. Basic IT skills are required.
Qualifications
A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role. A Basic DBS certificate is required or must be applied for upon appointment.
