About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated UK qualified Teacher to join our Harbour provision within the New River College Outreach service. This unique and specialist setting focuses on supporting vulnerable young people with medical and mental health needs, helping them to flourish and thrive both now and in their future. The Harbour is a short-term provision designed to support schools, families, and young people to stay in or re-engage with mainstream education. It operates as part of Islington’s statutory Alternative Provision and is overseen by the Head of NRC Outreach.

The role involves delivering a trauma-informed and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) curriculum with an emphasis on Maths, English, and Science, alongside project-based learning. You will work closely with families and schools to support the holistic development and social-emotional resilience of children and young people. You will be part of a committed team dedicated to improving well-being and educational outcomes for young people with SEMH needs.

This position is available immediately and will run for 12 months, with the potential for extension if additional funding is secured.

Experience
UK qualified teacher with experience or strong interest in working with vulnerable young people, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Qualifications
