About the Role
New River College Medical is seeking a qualified SENCO for maternity cover starting January 2027. This role is based within a committed team dedicated to improving the well-being and outcomes of young people with medical and mental health needs. The college supports pupils with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs who are unable to attend school for medical reasons. Teaching takes place across multiple sites including New River College Medical, the Children’s Ward at Whittington Hospital, and pupils’ homes when necessary.

The role involves working with KS1-4 pupils, delivering a core curriculum including English, Maths, Science, PE and foundation subjects, alongside coordinating enhanced learning opportunities with alternative providers. This is a unique and specialist setting requiring a dynamic and motivated professional passionate about supporting vulnerable young people holistically to help them flourish now and in the future.

Experience
UK teaching qualification with experience supporting students with SEMH needs.

Additional Information
