About the Role
This senior leadership role provides strategic management of the Kingston and Sutton LGPS Pension Funds and Treasury Management function. You will be part of the senior management team delivering Finance and Pension services to both Councils. The role involves attending committees and Pension Boards for both Councils and managing relationships with the London CIV, independent advisors, actuaries, and other stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with the Head of Pensions Administration and report to the Directors of Finance. There is an opportunity to apply for the Senior Responsible Officer role for both funds, with an additional allowance of 10% of salary for this responsibility.

We are seeking a capable leader with detailed investment experience and strong governance skills to maintain and enhance the excellent track record of the Sutton and Kingston Pension Funds, which are recognised leaders in the LGPS sector. You will work directly with elected Members and senior officers to deliver outstanding investment outcomes.

Both Sutton and Kingston Councils offer a dynamic and supportive environment, with exciting developments such as the London Cancer Hub and the largest housing regeneration programme in Kingston. The Councils are committed to tackling the climate emergency and fostering innovation and inclusivity in their services.

We value creativity, ambition, and putting borough residents at the heart of everything we do, offering a collaborative workplace that supports your professional growth and personal ambitions.

About the Boroughs
Working for both Sutton and Kingston Councils means engaging with two high-performing London Boroughs that share many services and offer diverse opportunities. Sutton is known for excellent schools, green spaces, and a thriving cultural heritage, governed by a Liberal Democrat Administration with ambitious plans to keep Sutton a great place to live and work. Kingston is a Royal borough with historic charm, excellent schools, vibrant retail, and extensive green spaces, also led by a Liberal Democrat Administration focused on creating a greener, fairer, safer, and more inclusive community.

Our Offer to You
We provide a supportive, friendly, and collaborative environment to help you develop your career and skills. We encourage innovation and value your ideas to improve our services. Benefits include generous annual leave (26-32 days plus bank holidays), enhanced family leave, volunteering days, flexible working schemes, learning and development opportunities, discounts on local amenities, interest-free season ticket loans, Local Government Pension Scheme membership, bicycle and electric vehicle schemes, and confidential health and wellbeing support.

Application Process
Please apply online, outlining your skills, abilities, and experience relevant to this role. We value authenticity and expect personalised applications that demonstrate your motivation and alignment with our PRIDE values. We operate an anonymised application process to reduce bias and encourage diversity. The closing date is indicative; early application is advised as we may close the vacancy once sufficient applications are received.

Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects our community. We welcome applications from underrepresented groups and offer inclusive employment policies, flexible working, staff engagement forums, and networks that support diversity. We are a Disability Confident Leader Employer and guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria. We are also an accredited London Living Wage Employer.

Applicants should be aware of the UK points-based immigration system and sponsorship requirements. Sponsorship availability is subject to eligibility and budget and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
