We are currently recruiting for an interim Head of Property to join the team. The role is a full time (37.5 hours per week) role and we’re offering flexibility to where this role is based. This role will be covering maternity and will be fixed-term until June 2024. For the people we provide services to, our owned and leased properties, as well as those we occupy under housing management and service level agreements must be desirable, well maintained, and compliant with all relevant health and safety legislation. For our office and retail locations, the successful Head of Property will provide high quality advice and support to our Retail and Operational colleagues to ensure that we are agreeing the best commercial deal and flexibility in the leases we sign. This will also include providing expertise on potential property sales and purchases. Essential skills and experiences required for this role (but not limited to): - Able to demonstrate strong forward planning, being able to anticipate problems, provide plans for worst-case and best-case scenarios - Analysis and management of complete data - Knowledge of property related compliance and practical experience of ensuring that buildings have the relevant certificates - Proven experience of leading and developing teams - Ability to effectively manage and successfully deliver projects - Practical understanding of the legal aspects of property - Experience of developing and delivering property strategies Please read the full role profile for a more extensive list of essential requirements for this role. You will also be responsible for the effective leadership of our property team, ensuring that the buildings support our new ways of working underpinned within our Big Plan as well as provide value for money. Furthermore, the role will oversee a team that supports individuals in maximising their entitlement to housing benefits, generating income of c.£5million. The Head of Property will work with colleagues to develop and implement our Property Strategy as well as providing assurance around the ongoing health and safety compliance of our buildings.
