About the Role
The Lettings Officer is responsible for managing the housing letting process from tenancy termination through shortlisting, offer, verification, and viewing stages until the property is let within the timeframe set by service performance indicators and in accordance with the Council’s rehousing policy. You will maintain monitoring systems and regularly produce performance reports using the Council’s IT system. This role involves managing the provision of social housing in line with Council policies, procedures, and relevant Government legislation, including making informed decisions about housing applications.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Standard DBS check.

Experience
Proven experience working in a busy, target-driven housing environment with a good understanding of the Housing Act 1996 Parts VI and VII, relevant housing case law, and housing allocations processes.
