About the Role
As a Social Worker in our Children Looked After (CLA) service, you will be part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team including our Virtual School, specialist health services and CAMHS provision. This varied and rewarding role involves managing a diverse caseload including care planning, court work and supporting vulnerable adolescents. You will undertake high-quality assessments and develop effective care plans within care proceedings, deliver creative interventions that promote positive outcomes for children in care, and work closely with partners across education, health, family therapists, adolescent services and others. You will also contribute to a learning culture within the team and support less experienced colleagues. Your work will ensure services meet the needs of Camden’s diverse community while adhering to statutory frameworks and best practice guidelines.
Experience
Experience managing complex cases including care proceedings and court work is essential.

You are a passionate and skilled social worker committed to improving outcomes for children and young people. You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a good understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable children and families, and are a collaborative team player confident in working across services. You are committed to continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England are required. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the Children Act 1989 and frameworks for children in care, is essential. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires an Enhanced DBS check.
