About the Borough
With a workforce of two hundred colleagues, we are small enough to be friendly and large enough to offer scope for career development and progression. Based in Sutton Town Centre with excellent transport links in and out of London, our colleagues engage with residents across the borough and beyond. Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) prides itself on the knowledge, experience and commitment of its staff to deliver excellent services to residents. As a landlord organisation, we aim to enable families and households to be safe in their homes, sustain their tenancies, and lead healthy and rewarding lives.

About the Service and Team
Sutton Housing Partnership manages council housing in Sutton, overseeing day-to-day housing services for approximately 6,000 council tenants and 1,500 leaseholders. Our team includes 17 Housing Managers, each responsible for a patch of around 500 residents. This is an ideal time to join our Housing Management team as we focus on consistently delivering core landlord services. We are committed to investing in residents and supporting them to access services addressing health and wellbeing, financial resilience, training, and employment.

About the Role
As a Housing Manager, you will take a holistic approach to tenancy management, owning residents’ concerns and providing support and resolution in line with policy and procedure. You will manage rent recovery, safeguarding for adults and children, anti-social behaviour cases, support victims of domestic abuse, facilitate mutual exchanges, and work closely with residents to encourage positive lifestyle changes. Promoting inclusion and helping to build stronger communities will be key aspects of your role. This challenging and engaging position requires commitment and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver resident priorities.

Our Offer to You
At SHP, we value our colleagues and strive to reward them fairly through our pay and reward systems. We support a good work-life balance and offer a range of benefits including:
- 28 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
- Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme with employer contributions of 18.4% from April 2025
- Simply Health Cash Plan for dental, optical, consultations and scans
- Employee benefits such as cycle to work scheme and various discount schemes
- Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential support 24/7
- Investment in learning and development with access to e-learning and instructor-led training
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the community we serve.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in tenancy management including rent recovery, adult and child safeguarding, anti-social behaviour case management, and supporting victims of domestic abuse. Experience in managing mutual exchanges and working with residents to support positive lifestyle changes is essential. Demonstrated ability to deliver resident-focused services and work collaboratively across teams.

About You
A skilled professional passionate about tenancy management and committed to supporting residents. You will have excellent customer service skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a professional, caring approach. You should be confident in partnership working and networking, with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels. A commitment to promoting inclusion and building stronger communities is vital.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence as driving is required for this role. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and successful candidates will undergo a comprehensive screening process including a DBS Disclosure.
