This post is a permanent, part-time position working 15 hours a week + 1 sleep in, every Saturday & Sunday. Your kind and caring nature, as well as strong practical skills and life experience, will make you the ideal person to support our residents on their journey towards independent living. As a Housing Support Worker, you'll be working with customers weekly to help them with their goals and discuss their progress. We're working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, so your communication skills will be amazing, and you'll be a dab hand at creating good professional working relationships. This scheme is supervised across 7 days, 24 hours per day. To be a successful in this role, you're: Knowledgeable of the housing support needs of vulnerable adults with mental health issues and learning disabilities. Well-informed about the benefits of a flexible, outcome focussed and personalised support service. Enthusiastic and empathic with a desire to work with a vulnerable and complex client group. Proficient in literacy and have active listening and verbal communication skills. Self-confident using Microsoft Office word, excel and email.
