Are you a Housing Support Worker with a Supported Housing background?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Housing Support Worker on a fixed term basis (12 months) at one of our Islington Supported Housing Schemes, based in North London.
A bit about the role:
As a Housing Support Worker you will support and enable vulnerable people to sustain a tenancy living within the community through providing practical and emotional support to encourage tenants to take an active part in the community.
Some of the key results for the role include:
You will provide and offer support to an individual tenant.
You will promote the integration of the tenant into the local community and provide opportunities by which they will be enabled to develop skills and have access to the widest possible range of experiences.
You will ensure that the tenants needs are met by liaising with other organisations providing access to community-based services and resources.
You will ensure that the participation by the tenant in the management of all household tasks, through teaching and practical support.
You will involve the tenant in everyday household tasks where possible and help to develop the skills needed to achieve this. Tasks include gardening, shopping, cleaning, cooking, and all other normal day to day tasks.
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check. The weekly hours are 37.5 and you must be able to work shifts (from 8AM to 4PM and from 2PM to 10PM) over the course of the 7 days.
