About the Role
Joining Kingston and Sutton Councils means working for two high performing London Boroughs with shared services across both authorities. This role is part of a small Resourcing Team responsible for providing professional, efficient, customer-focused HR resourcing administration and advisory services. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment life cycle using the Oleeo Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and iTrent Payroll/HRIS system, supporting hiring managers to attract the best candidates and ensuring recruitment processes are safe, fair, and cost effective.
This temporary role (two positions available) will primarily support customers in Kingston, with hybrid working arrangements. You will be required to work in the Civic Centre in Sutton every Tuesday, with occasional work in Sutton or Kingston Guildhall offices.
The role offers variety, including permanent recruitment for staff at all levels, providing advisory services, and supporting job evaluation for both Councils. You will be encouraged to be creative and flexible in recruitment approaches to meet the needs of diverse roles and organisations.
Kingston and Sutton Councils are committed to flexible working, providing the tools and equipment to support this, and fostering an environment where innovation and ambition in service delivery are valued.
Both boroughs are engaged in exciting initiatives such as the London Cancer Hub in Sutton and a major housing regeneration programme in Kingston, alongside strong commitments to tackling the climate emergency.
Experience
Strong experience in the end-to-end recruitment life cycle is essential. Confidence in using an ATS system is required. Experience providing expert support and advice to managers on recruitment processes and managing a high volume of recruitment queries is expected. Experience in targeted recruitment campaigns for hard-to-fill roles is advantageous.
About you
You will be innovative and creative, able to question and challenge existing ways of working. Excellent communication skills are necessary to work effectively with stakeholders and customers both inside and outside the Council. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical, alongside a strong commitment to personal and professional development to meet evolving role demands.
