About the Role
We are recruiting for an Identity & Data Security Engineer to join our Information Security Team. If you are passionate about identity and data governance, committed to achieving positive outcomes, and bring hands-on experience in this important area, we would love to hear from you.

In this role, you will:
- Be the Council’s Subject Matter Expert and Lead for Microsoft Purview. Own the roadmap for the product and make recommendations on its future development and use.
- Monitor and report on data governance effectiveness, policy compliance, and data security health.
- Support the organisational rollout of Purview features in structured phases and ensure remediation of existing configurations.

Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview including classification, labelling, DLP, Insider Risk and governance policies
- Excellent knowledge of Azure security concepts including role assignments, app registrations, managed identities, access governance, and authentication methods
- Excellent understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance standards
