About the Role
We’re Civica, a global software provider supporting over 5,000 public bodies to deliver critical services to more than 100 million citizens worldwide. As an Implementation Consultant within our Pensions team, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing pension solutions for some of the UK's leading pension schemes. This role involves working closely with clients, consultants, developers, and project teams to develop and maintain pension calculations, support software implementations, and ensure solutions comply with current legislation and regulatory requirements. Ideal candidates will have strong Defined Benefit (DB) pensions knowledge and enjoy translating complex pension scheme rules into practical, high-quality software solutions. You will work within an Agile Scrum environment, contribute to product testing and quality assurance, produce technical documentation, and provide expert support to customers. This is a pivotal role contributing to the future design and development of Civica’s pensions software suite while sharing knowledge and best practices across the team.

Experience
- Strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes and benefit calculations
- Up-to-date understanding of UK pensions legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience reviewing and interpreting Trust Deeds, Rules and other technical pensions documentation
- SQL Server development experience
- Ability to produce detailed calculation specifications and testing scenarios
- Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word

Qualifications
Desirable qualifications and skills include:
- Knowledge of UK Public Sector Pension schemes
- Experience of CARE and Defined Contribution (DC) arrangements
- Development experience using Java, C++ or C#
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
