About the Role
Fuse Energy is an innovative energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system. Having raised over $200M from top-tier investors, we are building a fully integrated energy company developing solar, batteries, hardware, grid infrastructure, real-time power trading, and distributed energy solutions for homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs, and pass savings on to customers.

We are seeking a hands-on, technically skilled Information Security Analyst to maintain security at full speed across our IT and cloud environments. You will be part of the team responsible for security across AWS infrastructure, identity providers, endpoints, SaaS applications, and data centre environments, acting as the security escalation point for IT.

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver comfortable owning issues end to end—from investigating compromised accounts to automating triage and response. You will lead incident response, build and tune detection pipelines, perform forensic analysis, and drive vulnerability management with a threat-led approach. You will also act as the security AI champion, developing tools to streamline security operations and collaborating closely with IT and engineering teams to improve policies and close root causes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as escalation point for IT in IAM, security, and automation
- Building and tuning security monitoring pipelines from AWS, endpoints, identity providers, SaaS, and network infrastructure
- Writing, testing, and maintaining detection rules
- Leading incident response and maintaining IR runbooks
- Performing forensic analysis and preserving evidence
- Managing external audits and assessments
- Tracking threat intelligence relevant to energy, trading, and GPU infrastructure
- Running vulnerability management prioritizing exploitability and exposure
- Monitoring data centre security and enforcing segmentation models
- Feeding findings back into prevention efforts

Requirements

Experience
Background in IT, SOC operations, or other hands-on technical security roles.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
Strong networking knowledge including ability to read PCAPs, identify beaconing in flow logs, and analyze lateral movement across VLANs and firewalls.
Familiarity with attacker tradecraft such as initial access, persistence, privilege escalation, and exfiltration.
Comfortable scripting in Python or similar languages to automate enrichment, triage, and response.
Strong ownership mindset with ability to see tasks through end to end with minimal guidance.

About You
Proactive problem solver with excellent technical skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Collaborative team player who can communicate clearly with IT, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Passionate about security automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Bonus qualifications include:
- Deep familiarity with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Defender
- Experience with detection-as-code frameworks (e.g., Sigma, CI-tested detections in Git)
- Knowledge of SOAR or custom response automation
- Experience defending data centre or colocation environments (OOB networks, BMC/IPMI, physical access telemetry)
- Handling ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits
- FortiGate logging and NetFlow/sFlow analysis
- DFIR certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCIA
- Experience in energy, fintech, trading, or other high-value-target sectors
