About the Role
At Gardiner & Theobald, Project Managers play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects. They coordinate project teams, manage programmes, facilitate effective communication and help guide projects from inception through to completion. Project Managers work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with client objectives. Effective stakeholder management, communication and risk management are central to the role.

As an Intern, you will be enrolled in G&T's Industry Insights Programme, designed to provide you with a broad understanding of the role of a Project Manager, the wider business, and the construction and property industry. Working as part of a team, you will support a variety of day-to-day project activities under the guidance of your supervisor. You will be encouraged to take ownership of tasks and work independently where appropriate, while also recognising when to seek support and guidance to achieve the best outcomes.

The role offers a varied experience, with the nature of the work depending on the team, projects and sector in which you are placed. This will provide valuable insight into the profession and exposure to a range of real-world project environments.

Typical responsibilities include assisting with contract documentation preparation, attending site and design team meetings, supporting project schedule maintenance, providing administrative support to Project Managers, taking minutes and recording key actions during meetings, collecting and analysing project data, and working directly with Project Managers to support project delivery.
