About the Role
In Internal Audit, we ensure that Goldman Sachs maintains effective controls by assessing the reliability of financial reports, monitoring the firm’s compliance with laws and regulations, and advising management on developing smart control solutions. Our group has unique insight into the financial industry, its products, and operations. We are looking for detail-oriented team players with an interest in financial markets who want to gain insight into the firm’s operations and control processes.
As the third line of defense, Internal Audit’s mission is to independently assess the firm’s internal control structure, including governance processes and controls, risk management, capital, and anti-financial crime frameworks. We raise awareness of control risk, assess the firm’s control culture and conduct risks, and monitor management’s implementation of control measures.
Goldman Sachs Internal Audit comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds including chartered accountants, developers, risk management professionals, cybersecurity experts, and data scientists. We are organized into global teams covering all the firm’s businesses and functions, including securities, investment banking, consumer and investment management, risk management, finance, cyber-security, technology risk, and engineering.
Responsibilities include assisting in all audit phases such as scoping, planning, fieldwork, and reporting; executing audit testing with a focus on high-quality documentation; identifying risks and recommending improvements to the control environment; following up on open audit issues; supporting continuous monitoring efforts; and participating in initiatives to improve Internal Audit processes and infrastructure.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or a related control function, preferably with exposure to online digital savings/deposit propositions.

- Experience with Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
