About the Role
We have an Associate opportunity in the UK Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team within the broader EMEA Financial Institutions Group at J.P. Morgan. This is an exciting role for a highly motivated individual eager to work in a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business. The FIG team is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private M&A and capital markets transactions involving corporate, financial sponsor, and government clients. We maintain pivotal relationships with many of the most prominent clients in the financial services industry, assisting them in delivering on their corporate strategy and structure through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets transactions, as well as top-tier corporate broking services.
As an Associate, you will be a key player in originating and executing investment banking mandates across all major product areas. You will collaborate closely with the broader FIG team to address client needs and contribute to building J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. The role offers numerous opportunities to partner across teams to develop client strategies, build detailed financial models, analyse market data, and prepare client presentations.
You will manage client transactions from pitch to close under senior guidance, prepare detailed valuation analyses, models, and presentations, and devise innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Experience
- More than 3 years of investment banking experience with a specific focus on financial institutions
- Proven proficiency in financial analysis and modelling
- Solid understanding of investment banking products
- Experience dealing with clients and other transactional advisers

- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Willingness to develop and ability to learn quickly
- Strong technology skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint capabilities and ability to quickly learn new software applications
