About the Role
The EMEA Secondaries Advisory team sits within Private Capital Advisory/EMEA M&A and is part of the global Private Capital Advisory & Solutions team. The team assists sponsor clients in creating continuation vehicles for assets across private equity, infrastructure, credit, real estate, and venture capital/growth, providing liquidity solutions to their existing institutional investors/LPs. The team works closely with country, industry, and other product teams within J.P. Morgan to deliver GP-led solutions to sponsor clients. Capital in continuation vehicles is raised through bespoke M&A-style processes and from a variety of sources including secondary investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, and other institutional investors. As an Associate, you will gain exposure to various asset classes across all sectors and regions and benefit from strong deal flow backed by a rapidly evolving secondary market, addressing LPs' needs to monetize their existing private market exposure.
Key responsibilities include working with sponsor clients alongside industry and country teams to assess continuation vehicle suitability, supporting preparation of pitch materials and transaction marketing documents, building financial models (LBO/DCF) and fund-level models, coordinating processes from launch to signing including investor outreach and Q&A, and maintaining ongoing dialogue with investors to build relationships. Given the team's high deal flow and flat hierarchy, you will have opportunities to perform a variety of tasks and step up in responsibilities.
Experience
Several years of full-time investment banking experience, including M&A. Prior experience in continuation vehicles and investor communications is preferred.
About you

Proactive, entrepreneurial, and eager to engage in business development. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and investors. Capable of taking ownership across transactions and managing multiple deals in parallel with appropriate time management.
Qualifications
This role involves regulated activity; the successful candidate will be subject to regulatory assessments of fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence, and where appropriate, approval by relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
