About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant with HES Catering Services, you will support the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual arrangements. HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to deliver award-winning meals and services. We pride ourselves on supplying high quality, healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals to over 15,000 children daily across the borough and beyond. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining these high standards and providing excellent service to our clients.

Experience
No direct experience required. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.

About you
You will report to the Cook Supervisor or a higher graded operative. This role does not have direct line management responsibilities. You should be reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively within a team. Flexibility to work the defined staffing profile hours is required.
