About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, delivering award-winning meals and services in partnership with local schools and academies. We pride ourselves on supplying a wide range of high-quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough and beyond, serving over 15,000 meals per day.

As a Kitchen Assistant at Scargill Primary School, you will undertake the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual arrangements. You will support the kitchen supervisor in all aspects of food service and assume responsibility for the food service in their absence. This role is graded at entry step Grade 1/2 and offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team delivering healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals to children.

Experience
No specific experience required; however, previous catering or kitchen experience would be advantageous.
