About the Role
As a Youth Justice Service Practitioner, you will play a vital role in preventing youth offending, safeguarding children, and supporting positive outcomes for young people and their families. You will manage a varied caseload, delivering effective interventions and restorative justice approaches, while working closely with victims, families, and multi-agency partners. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by helping young people turn their lives around and contribute positively to their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold a caseload and deliver interventions that support desistance and strengthen families.
- Work with victims and implement restorative justice and reparation activities.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and Youth Justice Board standards.
- Represent the Youth Justice Service and Local Authority in court, panels, and professional meetings.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
- Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.

Experience
- Experience of safeguarding, assessments, SMART planning, and interventions.
- Knowledge of Youth Justice legislation and restorative approaches.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to engage young people, families, and professionals.

Qualifications
- Degree-level or professional qualification in Social Work, Education, Health, Youth Work, Probation, Police, or a related discipline.
