Description
ABOUT US Transforming lives through excellent education LMU is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education. Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world. Research and Knowledge Exchange are fundamental parts of this vision, informing every aspect of life at LMU and driving real impact and change in London and beyond. ABOUT THE POST This is an exciting collaboration between LMU and London Funders, the only cross-sector membership network for funders and investors in London’s civil society. The purpose of the project is to establish an innovative pooled funding model and a leadership/governance structure, underpinned by rigorous management practices. It offers a genuine opportunity to be part of a sector-leading piece of work that will transform the work of the funding community to better enable funds to flow to communities best-placed to achieve positive change. You should have a broad understanding of management theory, with a particular interest in finance. A passion and experience within the civil society/social impact sector is highly desirable. A £4,000 package is available for training and development purposes. Key objectives include: • Identifying best practice finance models to hold pooled funds by reviewing the funding landscape and benchmarking • Establishing London Funders’ subsidiary, including governance mapping and development of shared principles/values • Testing the selected financial model; provide illustrative modelling, stress test, and review • Assessing the broader landscape to identifying strategic opportunities • Planning for future growth opportunities Closing Date: 16 June 2024 Interviews to be held TBC Submit a CV, and cover letter stating how you meet the criteria with an equality and diversity statement of up to 1-page, articulating how you will contribute to making our University more inclusive and what they have previously done to advance equality to Alexandra Chodacka [email protected] Further information Job Description/Person Specification: https://tinyurl.com/KTPLonFunders Summary Terms and Conditions: https://tinyurl.com/TCsPSG5Below Please note that successful candidates will be asked to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK and to complete a health assessment before they start work.
