As the Local Engagement Lead you will help us to deliver an excellent customer service by engaging with, and involving, our residents of all tenures and ensure their voices contribute to what we do. What we’re looking for: Do you have a background where you have provided advice, support, guidance, and training to the business on effective engagement and best practice? Are you an engagement expert where you can define and deliver the engagement needs of our community? Do you have knowledge of resident engagement and engagement models for local community groups? Are you passionate about working in partnership with our community to help shape and improve their customer experience? Are you a skilled communicator where you can inform and influence at all levels whilst being achievement and results orientated? Are you able to build rapport with a diverse range of residents from all tenures? Are you a project manager, where you proactively devise and organise work projects, manage actions plans, set priorities, to achieve local community objectives? If so, this role is perfect for you! Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Local Engagement Lead on a Permanent basis at our Ealing Gateway Office, with some hybrid working. As the Local Engagement Lead, you will be based in the community around Northwest London and parts of the surrounding counties, Reading and Oxford A bit about the role: As a Local Engagement Lead, you will be responsible for working in partnership with the business and residents to ensure meaningful local engagement. You will play a key role in supporting our local resident groups and subject specific focus groups. You will work closely across the business and with external stakeholders to manage any activity required to fulfil our ambitions for meaningful engagement and ensure we meet and exceed regulatory standards. Some of the key results for the role include: Advising the business on the requirements of the Landlord and Tenant Act (1985) to recognise and support residents who wish to form a Resident Association. Setting up Resident Associations, informal local groups, supporting AGM’s and providing training in partnership with colleagues across the business to help these groups influence local service delivery. Chairing and meeting facilitation of estate/block meetings, in partnership various parts of the business both in person and online. Prepare quarterly reports on the work and outcomes of local engagement to feedback to the Board demonstrating the impact and uptake of local engagement activities. This role will require a Standard DBS check, a UK driver’s licence, and access to a vehicle.
